You can have the best offer in the world.

You can write the perfect email.

But if your links are in the wrong place…

You’re dead in the water.

Link placement is one of the easiest things to fix—and one of the fastest ways to boost clicks and sales.

Here’s what actually works.

Don’t Hide the Link This sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised.

People bury their links in long paragraphs… Or they only include them once at the very end… Or they make the link look like regular text.

Don’t do that.

You want your reader to know EXACTLY where to click.

So make it obvious. Make it clear. And give them more than one chance.

The First Link Should Come Early Don’t wait until the end of the email.

Your first link should come after your hook—usually within the first 2–3 paragraphs.

Think of your reader. They’re busy. Distracted. Maybe on their phone.

If they have to scroll too far… they’re gone.

Use 2–3 Links Max You don’t need to plaster your email with links.

That just makes you look desperate.

Here’s a simple rule:

  • First link = after your hook
  • Second link = after you build curiosity or tell a story
  • Third link = at the very end as a “PS” or final call to action

Use Link Text That Makes Them Curious Don’t just say “click here.”

Try:

  • “See how I did it”
  • “Here’s the full story”
  • “This is the shortcut I used”

Make them want to know what’s behind the click.

Bold the Links I bold every one of my links.

Why? Because it stands out.

Your reader is skimming. Help them find the action.

Use Buttons (Sometimes) If you’re writing a more visual email or sending from your autoresponder’s editor, test a button.

Just make sure the button also has a text link below it. Some email clients block buttons.
